Perform lets you showcase your talents in any number of ways. Basically, this works like the normal emotes except places a single * in front of the performance line instead of bracketing it with :::'s.

Example:

* Mandragora looks around for Hamlet.

If the first character is an apostrophe or comma, that character will replace the space that is normally inserted immediately following your name.

This example command:
perform 's breath smells real bad!

Generates the following result:
* Mandragora's breath smells real bad!

Alternatively, if you include a $N in the perform argument, the game will replace all instances of '$N' with your capitalized name, and display the message exactly as you typed it.

This example command:
perform That's $N's lute, you numbskull!

Generates the following result:
* That's Mandragora's lute, you numbskull!

Please avoid using this power to confuse newer players.
