The Bardic skill calls upon the very essense of being a Bard, the knowledge of ancient lore that is passed down through the ages from Bard to Bard. With this knowledge comes the ability to use his/her talents to heal those around him/her.

Additionally, Bardic will heal all charmed creatures in your current room. When used upon your own followers, the healing will increase their loyalty to your cause.

The only healing spell a bard gets, it doesn't heal for a lot. It does heal everyone you're in the room with though and who doesn't like even a tiny heal?
When you're lower level, it can mean the difference between life, death and wimpying as well.
